Mike Pettine: This isn’t a dead end for Johnny Manziel

“We all stand together on this one”, Pettine said. “But this was too important, ” Pettine said, to take anything else into consideration, adding that the move was “absolutely necessary to maximize his chance for future success”.

“This is a heavy dose of adversity. “We will see how he handles it”. It is possible that Manziel informed Pettine and company that he has serious issues and that he can not control his personal life.

“It’ll be a process”. “There’s no magical solution to that”.

“But this decision tells me the Browns don’t trust him and probably don’t think he’s worth the trouble”.
