Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet goes to Intel
In particular, the name of Xiaomi’s latest smartphone is the Redmi Note 3, when rumors suggested it would be called the Redmi Note 2 Pro.
The Redmi Note 3 will also be the first Xiaomi device to feature a fingerprint sensor, which Xiaomi claims can be used to unlock the device in 0.3 seconds.
The Mi Pad 2 has an Intel Atom quad-core 2.24GHz processor and 2GB RAM to power the 2048×1536 pixel display. Now it’s the turn of the Mi Pad 2, which has also just been shown off. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will be available in both Android and Windows 10 versions, and we have pricing and specs details coming right up. Initially, only the Android edition will be sold, with the Windows 10 model launching next month.
The Chinese tech manufacturer, Xiaomi, has just now launched the brand new third generation flagship smartphone in their Redmi Note series of smartphones in China.
The Mi Pad 2 closely resembles the iPad Mini 4, which is in keeping with the company’s general policy of borrowing judiciously from the Apple playbook. The processor of the new model replaces the NVIDIA Tegra K1 on the predecessor.
As with all of the Xiaomi devices, even the Note 3 comes in at an affordable price tag of 899 RMB ($140) and the highlight of the device will be the rear fingerprint scanner.
The camera setup is a 13 megapixel unit with phase detection autofocus in the rear and a 5 megapixel camera up front. Xiaomi says that the Mi Pad 2 is lighter and thinner than the first-generation Mi Pad. These dimensions make the new Mi Pad model slimmer and lighter than its predecessor that was 8.5mm thick and weighed 360 grams. It packs an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor at 2.2 GHz mated with 2 GB of RAM, while packing either 16 or 64 GB storage with microSD support up to 128 GB. The smartphone comes with a 4,000mAh battery and connectivity options such as dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Global Positioning System. It comes with either 16 GB or 64 GB of internal storage. It was launched to replace the original Mi Pad tablet that came with a plastic design and was released in June 2014. The device will be available on November 27 in two colors, gold or dark gray.
