Dynamo Kiev punished after fans’ racist behaviour in Chelsea game
Uefa has imposed a three-match stadium ban on Dynamo Kiev fans after offences during the Champions League match with Chelsea last month which included racist behaviour.
UEFA said the sanctions were handed down for racist behaviour, crowd disturbances and blocked stairways during the match on October 20, which ended 0-0 at the Olympiyskiy Stadium.
The third game is suspended for a probationary period of three years, while Dynamo have also been fined €100,000.
Porto, previously unbeaten in all competitions this season, had needed only a draw to qualify with a game to spare but are now in danger of missing out as they visit Chelsea in their final game probably needing to win.
But Dynamo’s Junior Moraes spurned a golden chance when firing wide and Casillas was forced to save with his feet from Garmesh’s close-range shot before Gonzalez arrowed home an angled drive to put the Ukrainian side two up in the 64th minute.
Dynamo will play in an empty stadium against Maccabi Tel Aviv on December 9.
The home match after that, one leg of either a Europa League last 32 or Champions League last 16 tie, will also be played out with no fans present.
