Jurgen Klopp ‘to replace Simon Mignolet with
Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar claims Jurgen Klopp wants to replace Simon Mignolet in the January transfer window and is eyeing a “couple” of Bundesliga goalkeepers to fill the role.
Sturridge’s return will give Liverpool another vital option up front and Klopp says that with Christian Benteke also now in tip-top condition, he finally has a wealth of options in attack.
Bordeaux have drawn three and lost one of their four games and are struggling in mid-table in Ligue 1; they have struggled in England historically and that is not expected to change.
Klopp’s priority, however, is the development of his team following the 4-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.
“That’s what you need as a player, you need to feel the confidence of the manager – and the whole staff – to feel that they’re behind you and that we’re working in the same direction”.
The LA Galaxy midfielder will train with Liverpool for two weeks during the Major League Soccer offseason, though he ruled out any possibility of a short-term loan. What we have to develop first is our performance and that is what we did.
“It was a hard start to the season and it is going to take time, but I am sure that once he works with these players over a good length of time, Liverpool will be a force”. I am playing now and really comfortable and focused to play my best game. We have to learn how to handle this.
“We will have to make the most of the opportunities that we have because, in this kind of game, what makes the difference is efficiency”. “We know what we have to do tomorrow”.
Klopp said: “My decision you will see (on Thursday) but it is closer and that is very good”. And it will help us because we have another option. We will see in the game. “Many things we can do better when we train more often together”.
“Martin Skrtel is a little ill and Mamadou Sakho is getting better but is not ready”, said Klopp.
