Google Search has a hidden Star Wars easter egg
Google has become known for its Easter Eggs, the most famous of which may be the “do a barrel roll” trick which makes the search results screen do just that.
There are many people who might be busy in counting the holidays they have this week, but there is a whole list of fans who are interested in the most- awaited event on December 18: the premiere of the new “Star Wars” movie.
We’ve seen the world go mad with Star Wars mania of late, from special LEGO, to Changi Airport (of all places) becoming overrun with Star Wars paraphernalia, and assorted airlines with liveries. Now Google suggests you book a flight instead.
Just in case you hadn’t noticed, it feels like Star Wars month as just about everywhere you turn there seems to be something related to the franchise.

Disney and Google have teamed up for a creative and technological collaboration called “Awaken the Force Within”.
In order to get the results, you need to activate the Star Wars theme by picking a side and enable it on Google Search as well.
And to honour this, Google has created one of its finest Easter eggs to date. To activate this particular hidden secret, you have only to type “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away”.
Fans are also encouraged to post their choice of sides to social media using the hashtag #ChooseYourSide, which will help to power the indicator on the homepage that shows the balance of the forces. The Gmail inbox background will also display Light or Dark Side images.
