The Steam autumn sale is here and huge!
As you might have noticed from the new storefront illustration, Steam began its autumn sale today (officially, it’s the “Exploration Sale”). Unlike other Steam sales, it doesn’t look like there are limited time offers here, just a load of great discounts running for the next few days, with over 8000 titles on offer. While the post gave us a glimpse as to when we should expect today’s sale to commence, it also informed us this sale was going to be slightly different from previous sales.
The always popular Grand Theft Auto V is 40 percent off for a price of $35.99, while The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also on sale for a 50 percent discount price of $29.99.
This is sure to upset some as the perception will be that developers will be less inclined to offer their games at a mega discount for the duration of the sale.
Pretty much every genre and franchise has some money off, with one of the best deals we found being the Legendary version of Skyrim (that has all the DLC included) for just €7.49. Valve has chose to do away with Daily and Flash Deals, which used to have you checking the site every eight hours to catch the lowest prices on various games. Valve wants players to dive in and find some great games to enjoy over the Thanksgiving weekend, and with prices like these, gamers will no doubt be happy to oblige.
