New Oxygen OS update is headed to the OnePlus X today
However, the introduction of Oxygen OS 2.1.3 will bring along with it a slew of enhancements where the microSD memory card support on the device is concerned.
One week after the release the OnePlus X’s OxygenOS 2.1.2 update, the most recent addition to the OnePlus family is being updated to OxygenOS 2.1.3.
According to the official changelog, most of the changes included in the update are related to SD card improvements.
Apart from that, you should be able to pick up additional user interface improvements, not to mention exFAT SD card support, as well as the ability to move apps to and from the card.
The Chinese mobile startup will be rolling out the OxygenOS 2.1.3, which will address certain issues of SD card and some unknown security issues that we have addressed previously in our post here.
But this update is not just about SD card improvements. The over-the-air rollout starts today, but the new bits will first only arrive on around 10% of devices out there, to ensure that everything about the update procedure is working fine.
The reason we do this is so that in case we find any serious issues, we can contain the problem quickly and find a solution before it impacts a wider audience.
So, it may be around 24 hours before you get a notification for the software patch.
