Broncos’ Manning out at least two weeks
After a visit with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Robert Anderson on Monday in North Carolina, Manning is now scheduled to wear the walking cast for seven to 10 days and then restart his rehab on his injured foot.
He’s 25…. QB Peyton Manning, who has faced Brady 16 times in career, will sit out second straight game with torn plantar fascia in left foot that will keep him sidelined at least until mid-December….
“Nothing really. I said, ‘Hey, glad to be here”. “The secondary is a problem”. What we think they are going to do and get ready like that.

The Patriots moved to 10-0 with Monday night’s 20-13 victory over the Bills, but quarterback Tom Brady said Tuesday that the same kind of production from the offense agains the Broncos in Week 11 won’t be good enough.
DeMarcus Ware (6.5 sacks) and Von Miller (6) are going to be matchup nightmares for Patriots tackles Marcus Cannon and Sebastian Vollmer (although Ware is questionable with a back injury), and the Broncos have gotten nice contributions from Malik Jackson (4 sacks), linebacker Shaquil Barrett (3.5), and nose tackles Sylvester Williams and Antonio Smith (2.5 each).
Injuries on the Patriots’ offensive line and receiving core have left New England shuffling to regain normalcy.
“It’s unfortunate – everyone deals with different injuries at different times”.
The Patriots lost versatile running back Dion Lewis and dynamic receiver Julian Edelman to severe injuries earlier in the year.
The Patriots were down to two receivers and one of them, Chris Harper, had just been brought back from the practice squad.
As the Broncos prepare to face a team with its iconic signal-caller, Tom Brady, healthy and performing at an MVP level, Osweiler noted how he went about his business while backing up Manning. “Whether that’s on the field, press box, I don’t know”, Kubiak said.
Added safety T.J. Ward: “I don’t think anything works week-to-week”. “It seems like he’s always in his 20s ever since I’ve been here”.
“The best way to cover Gronk, triple team him, he won’t catch a ball then”, Aqib Talib, cornerback, said.
If they can limit or shut down Gronkowski, it would force the Patriots to look at their other weapons – matchups in which the Broncos’ secondary would have a clear advantage.
That doesn’t mean they haven’t talked about other things, though.
The Patriots are 5-1 against the Broncos since the start of the 2011 season, but they haven’t faced this Denver team.
“We used to play against Shannon Sharpe every day on defense when I was here (from 1989-94)”, Phillips recalled. The Broncos also lead the National Football League with 34 sacks, while the Patriots are second with 32.
Osweiler is finally getting his chance after sitting on the bench for three-plus seasons after the Broncos took him in the second round in the 2012 draft.
Something has to give.
