Google To Give Samsung A Hand With Optimizing Its TouchWiz UI?
The trial in the Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. patent battle begins today at a San Jose federal courthouse to determine if Samsung illegally copied technolgy used in Apple’s popular iPhone and iPads. There are some reports that point to a January release and it may be because of the company’s switch to Agile development.
However, owners of the current version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 will find it rather disappointing that the Android Marshmallow update won’t reach their smartphones any time soon, or it might not come at all. Samsung still accounts for more than half of all Android smartphones or devices in general, sold. This summer, it launched the Galaxy Folder, a mid-range flip smartphone, two years after its first attempt in the form of the Samsung Hennessy. The report also mentions that the Galaxy S7 will be a 5.2-inch smartphone with a flat screen while the Galaxy S7 Edge will be a larger 5.7 inches with the Edge’s distinctive curved screen.
Also, users will be able to expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot. With this, it may already have the capability of a 4K display. Previous reports suggested the company might announce the Galaxy S7 in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona from Feb 22 to Feb. 25, reports SamMobile.
When it comes to design, Samsung is known to take things up a notch. It’s hard to tell, but a recent rumor claims that Google might give the Korean tech giant a hand in optimizing the UI in the future. The flagship will be equipped with dual high resolution scanning cameras on the front, as well as enhanced aperture. This feature allows for different functionality that would depend on how hard the screen is being pressed. It was said that the “Samsung Galaxy A9” will be powered by Snapdragon 620 SoC with 4 next-gen Cortex A72 cores and four Cortex A53 cores. Sprint’s Black Friday deals kick off on its website on November 26, and would run through the 27 of the month. The Samsung Galaxy S7 will most likely be priced at $800. The UI has improved over the years but now if the rumors are true, Google could be helping make it even better, such as helping them overcome any bugs they might come across during the customization process.
