Stores preparing for Black Friday
Even before the Thanksgiving turkey is done, many of you are making plans for Black Friday shopping.
The retailer said customer feedback was behind its decision to invest in £26 million of savings for shoppers across the season rather than a one-off day of sales.
“Spending will be a bit up from last year but not any great improvement over last year”, said Jackie Fernandez, a retail partner at Deloitte & Touche.
For those eager to get a more-traditional start on their holiday shopping in the world of brick-and-mortar stores, though, numerous Black Friday door-buster deals will be offered starting Thanksgiving Day.
Download apps that provide real-time alerts as to which shops are having flash sales on certain items or which shops offer the best deals for an item you want. At Walmart, a great Black Friday Deal is a 40-inch 1080p LED TV for $149, a Fitbit Flex wristband for $59, which is $40 off, and a 5-inch Samsung Galaxy 5 phone for $229.
McWatters says, “We have coupons for Thursday, all day Friday, Saturday, majority apply to everything but a door-buster because those are the really good deals that coupons will not apply to”. Sure, some of those sites could be legit, but major sales periods are also an ideal time to part unsuspecting shoppers from their credit card numbers.
Sadly we don’t have a complete list of deals that will be available, and instead we’d urge buyers to simply head to Walmart.com tonight at midnight when the Black Friday shopping spree officially kicks off. More details and deals can be found at our official Black Friday 2015 Portal. If you see the item is available at another retailer, you may be able to use that information to negotiate a lower price on the store you are now shopping in.
But with items you can find everywhere, sometimes waiting has its rewards, so you don’t waste your money.
“There’s no point buying an electronic drum kit online if overseas shipping costs amount to as much as your savings”. Thanksgiving shopping is never as good overall. “So it’s convenient. You don’t have to carry a book or piece of paper around”.
While many ads have leaked out, you don’t have to wait for them to hit the newspapers.
“Look for those that have a large range of retailers across categories, and give online cashback straight into your bank account”.
Lowe’s: You can shop select Black Friday deals now both online and in-store. (NASDAQ: AMZN), eBay Inc (NASDAQ: EBAY), Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE: BBY), and even Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
