Adam Sandler Debuts Official Fourth Version Of The Chanukah Song With
Adam Sandler shared a fourth version of his famous “Chanukah Song” while performing in San Diego last week.
The original Chanukah Song debuted on Saturday Night Live in 1994. An updated 1999 version included Winona Ryder and Courtney Love.
“Joseph Gordon-Levitt enjoys eating kugel”, the Blended star sang.
The updated tune lists a new group of celebrities who are Jewish, including Adam Levine, Drake, Scarlett Johansson, Idina Menzel, Seth Rogen and Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
Adam Sandler is once again putting the “mock” in “yarmulke”. “And if you need a higher voice to turn you on, how about Geddy Lee from Rush.” But guess who’s Jewish and may fix him?
New lyrics include: “We may not have a cartoon with a reindeer that can talk / But we also don’t have polio thanks to Dr. Jonas Salk / Smart Jew”, and “Jared from Subway… Loveline’s Dr. Drew – get on it, doc”, he tells the uproaring audience. “David Beckham is the king of soccer studs/and also a quarter chosen”, he sings in another. Previous versions of “The Hanukkah Song” have referenced such notorious figures as O.J.
