Obama to appear on ‘The Daily Show’ as Stewart exits
The comedian hosts his final episode on August 6, but not before POTUS stops by to bid farewell on Tuesday, July 21, marking his third since moving into the White House. He will likely be pitching this week’s landmark nuclear agreement with Iran.
Stewart admitted in April that he gets “incredibly depressed” watching cable news for “The Daily Show” and its related skits.
President Obama will give one last interview to Jon Stewart before he leaves The Daily Show next month.
Obama has appeared on Comedy Central’s satirical information present twice as president and 4 occasions prior to that.
Obama was the first sitting USA president to appear on a late night show (Jay Leno’s in 2009).
“But the cycles become longer and more entrenched, and that’s when you realize, ‘OK, I’m on the back side of it now, ‘” he added.
He was one of David Letterman’s final “Late Show” guests in May and has stopped by “The Tonight Show“, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Colbert Report“.
