Santa Claus is coming to town on December 5
Santa Claus will be coming to town for the 128th year in a row in the annual Santa Claus Parade through Downtown Friday morning.
“At Staten Island Mall, we pride ourselves on being a community partner and take our shoppers’ sentiments to heart – good and bad”, mall officials said in a statement.
Santa Claus will make his annual arrival as part of the Davison Christmas Parade and other events on Main Street in Davison, Dec. 5. “I started this boycott page to unite the voices of the majority of people who don’t like our Christmas traditions taken away from us piece by piece at the Staten Island Mall”, explained site creator Joe DeMarco.
“The new reservation service will allow families to reserve an exact day and time that they would like to visit Santa”.
This year promises to be extra special as, in addition to the usual popular children’s movie and cartoon characters led by Mr And Mrs Claus, complete with their reindeer, there will also be excerpts from Broadway being performed along the route.
The true meaning of Christmas comes through in downtown Carleton Place this Saturday, Nov. 28.
“So kids can come and roast marshmallows on the square and make s’mores”, Cooper said. Wier said they called it the community’s Christmas parade because they wanted everyone in Del Norte County to participate.
Santa Claus will be Del Norte Triplicate advertising representative James Haban, Wier said. Anything we do, we are always trying to promote local businesses.
Santa will be on the Chamber of Commerce float at the end of the parade. “This year, it’s an old-time fire truck, kind of a throw-back”.
“If somebody decides tomorrow that they want to build a float and show up and be in the parade, as long as it has lights and music and (the theme) is Christmas …” she said. The Downtown Business Improvement District sponsored the parade since 1993 and took over the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the 1990s.
A tropical-themed picture station will be set up on the beach starting at 2 p.m. where visitors can sit with Santa and bring home a free, matted holiday picture.
Santa will hold regular hours at his house on the Square through Christmas Eve.
