Turkey releases recording of warnings to Russian plane
Russia dismisses Ankara’s claims and says the fighter jet was downed in the Syrian airspace, where the Russian air force has been carrying out combat sorties against Takfiri terrorists since September 30 upon a request by the Syrian government. A Russian official said some 15 percent of Turkish agricultural produce fell short of Russian standards, with excessive levels of pesticides, nitrates and nitrites.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday Turkey still hadn’t apologized for downing the plane or given assurances that “the culprits of this crime” will be punished. Almost five million Russian tourists visited Turkey in 2014.
Moscow banned food imports and removed thousands of European Union products from Russian shops after Brussels passed sanctions for the annexation of Crimea a year ago.
“It’s a great pity that the unprecedented level of our interstate relations that has been reached with Turkey over the past 10 years… we considered Turkey not only a neighbor but a friendly state, almost an ally.is so thoughtlessly and stupidly being destroyed”, Putin said.
The plane crashed into a mountainside on Syrian soil after being hit by a missile from a Turkish F-16 fighter jet on Tuesday. “There was not even a threat of crossing into Turkey”, Capt Murakhtin said.
But the Russian pilot who survived told journalists that he did not receive a warning and didn’t cross into Turkish airspace.
It said they have responded all questions and displayed radar tracks of the flights by Russian planes that violated Turkish airspace. Moscow insists it never left Syrian air space, but Ankara says it crossed the border despite repeated warnings. Konashenkov added that the Russian strikes helped Syrian ground forces take control of the mountainous area in the north of the Latakia province.
“Today, in accordance with the decision made earlier, all communication channels between the Russian Defense Ministry and the Turkish armed forces have been discontinued”, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on its website Thursday.
The Turkish military has released an audio recording of what it claims to be warnings sent to the downed Russian warplane.
