Government offices closed for Thanksgiving, some closed Friday as well
Post offices are closed Thursday, with no delivery.
Dane County and city of Madison offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday, according to their respective websites.
About the only things open on Thanksgiving will be stores and restaurants, as most government offices in the Madison area and beyond shut down for the holiday.
Thanksgiving Day in the United States has been celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November since 1863. Pickup will be one day delay of service. In addition, the pool at Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center will be closed on Saturday, November 28 for maintenance. CyRide will run a Sunday break schedule on Sunday.
The Streetcar will resume normal operating hours of 9:00 a.m.to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29 and normal weekday hours of 6:00 a.m.to 11:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30.
LIBRARIES: Riverside County and San Bernardino County libraries are closed today and Friday. Typically, most city offices will be closed on both days, but check with your local municipality if you have questions.
Thanksgiving is a federal holiday.

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, Sparks City Hall (431 Prater Way) will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, 2015. Administrative offices will remain closed November 27, while transit services will resume a normal schedule.
