New Star Wars trailer focuses on film’s villain
The 37-year-old will next star in eagerly anticipated sci-fi epic Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as the series’ first female villain seen in the movies.
Also in the TV spot is the first look at the most integral Star Wars thing that has been otherwise absent from the trailers thus far – warring in the stars. Epic battle scenes abound and the cryptic voice of the Supreme Leader Smoke, voiced by Andy Serkis, talking to Ren can be heard. “Have you felt it?” that same gravelly-voiced guy asks. Do check it out.
Daisy is one of the younger generation of newcomers who will be in Star Wars: The Force Awakens alongside John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson. Close to the end of the minute-long video trailer, fans finally get to see the Millennium Falcon, piloted by Han Solo, as it navigates it way precariously through a forest. And I’m like; you don’t even know what (my character) Rey is in the story. “We all need to run”.
There’s only 20 days before Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in cinemas across the globe, which means trailers, spoilers and other related tidbits are (quite literally) all over the internet.
GSC Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is also giving fans the chance to win tickets to the film’s Gala Premiere on 17 December 2015.
Are you planning on seeing the new Star Wars movie when it hits theaters this December?
Perhaps the most important bit in the trailer is the inclusion of more Han Solo and Chewbacca.
This will mark the second “Star Wars” film to receive a PG-13 rating, following the most recent installment in the franchise, 2005’s “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith”.
