John Ruddy has no doubt Norwich can survive in the Premier League
Alex Neil admits Norwich will need to be adaptable if they are to survive in the Premier League and is happy to alter his style.
Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy has insisted that the team has what is required to secure Premier League survival this season.
“All the ingredients are there”, said the England worldwide.
The Norwich City boss will know how tough a test this will be, but he’ll be hoping to get a result as they are only three points clear of the relegation zone.
“I would like to think I could manage at 66”. Form is temporary. I’m more than confident in myself.
“The standards we’ve set ourselves have to remain in the 25 games we have left”.
It presents the first opportunity for Alex Neil’s side to take on one of the so called “big clubs” at Carrow Road this season and it will be interesting how our very own “tinkerman” approaches the game.
Arsenal failed to capture the league leadership as they drop a disappointing 1-2 decision to West Brom also last Saturday at the Hawthorns, having previously avoided defeat in the top-flight since a controversial 2-0 loss at Chelsea in September.
Owen wrote in his column for Colossusbets.com: “Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat, but they won’t find it easy against a Norwich side that have got their act together defensively since a 6-2 drubbing at Newcastle”.
“After the Manchester City game, and the mistake for the second goal, of course you question whether you will stay in the team”.
Neil believes Norwich are getting to grips with the varied demands of the division, though, and he said: “Over recent weeks, we have found a decent balance, but we can still improve”.
“I’m a life-long Gooner so I’m used to being occasionally embarrassed by my team, but I prefer them to wait until after kick-off before humiliating their supporters”.
Neil has stated that Alex Tettey (thigh) is unlikely to be fit to play but Norwich will have captain Russell Martin back in the squad after he missed the Chelsea game due to personal reasons.
