Two Palestinians killed in Qalandiya
Mr Netanyahu spoke on Sunday at the start of his weekly Cabinet meeting, where he drew links between the terror attacks that took place across Paris on Friday night – leaving 129 people killed and 350 injured – and the ongoing attacks perpetrated in Israel.
A Palestinian gunman killed two Israelis in the southern West Bank on Friday, the military said, while in the nearby city of Hebron Israeli troops shot dead a Palestinian involved in stone-throwing clashes, medics said.
Palestinians are angry at increasing violence by Israeli settlers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the latter’s attacks on Palestinian properties, saying that the Tel Aviv regime seeks to change the status quo of the compound.
The Israeli military said hundreds of Palestinians threw rocks and firebombs at security forces and that some opened fire.
The current violence began in mid-September with clashes in and around a Jerusalem holy site revered by Muslims and Jews.
Last month, the government ordered an intensification of the policy in response to a wave of stabbing and shooting attacks and other deadly unrest. Residents stated dozens of Israeli military automobiles raided several Nablus neighborhoods & surrounded the family homes of three asserted members of the militant Hamas movement who have been held liable for an attack in that killed a Jewish twosome, Naama & Eitan Henkin, within the West Bank on October 1.
Israel has renewed a home demolition tactic that it says is a legal and effective tool to deter attacks. Shalalda’s brother Bilal, who was asleep in the room, said he was tied to the bed by Israeli forces.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyal al-Maliki, speaking on Voice of Palestine radio, described the Qalandia incident as “clear escalation, clear assassination” by Israel.
“We will find the despicable murderers and bring them to justice as we have in the past”, he said in a statement. Israel’s Jerusalem District Court indicted 13-year-old Manasra on charges of attempted murder on Oct 30 following an attack on two Israelis on Oct 12.
There were seven people in the vehicle, and Litman’s wife and a 16-year-old son were also wounded, according to Israeli media and Shin Bet.
Fourteen were hit by live ammunition and five were struck by rubber bullets, the sources said. Palestinians say the violence is due to a lack of hope for gaining independence. He said he heard shots and saw Laith drop to the ground.
Israeli security forces said Abu Shaheen had carried out attack against Israeli.
