What does Daniel Radcliffe think about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?
For over ten years Daniel Radcliffe’s world was centred around the character of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World so it’s no wonder that he finds reading about the spin-offs and sequels odd.
Last month, in an interview with Playboy, Radcliffe was questioned about growing up on the set of the Harry Potter movies.
In his cover for NME magazine, Radcliffe couldn’t help but compare his old costume with Redmayne’s suave outfit for the new film.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them”, written by J.K. Rowling, is scheduled to release in 2016.
“I had a huge amount to prove”.
Daniel revealed: “Proving that you can be a young actor and not be a complete f***ing disaster when you grow up”.
The British actor, who played the boy wizard for 10 years across eight different movies, told NME that he could “restrain” himself while filming. Also, I had some image of this is how actors live and it didn’t do anyone any favours, living like that…
Unfortunately for the actor, many people took this to mean that he was practising his patronus while on the set of one of our most cherished childhood films.
Radcliffe stars opposite James McAvoy in the forthcoming Victor Frankenstein. Filming for the movie is now underway in London. “I think that’s better than always wanting to play the handsome hero”.
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, which is set nineteen years after the seventh book ended, is set to open in the West End next July.
Speaking to NME, actor Daniel admitted it’s “weird” seeing the franchise continue and not being a part of it, but added: “I’m happy for it to go on without me”.
