Rain, thunderstorms expected on Thanksgiving

A cold front that was expected to affect the state over the weekend is moving slower than thought, which would put off rain chances for much of the state until early next week. The shift began Monday following record high temperatures in parts of the Bay Area. Expect morning lows in the 20s and highs slowly climbing into the 40s. High pressure to our east and low pressure to our west is helping to funnel these stronger winds as the pressure gradient between the two weather systems continues to tighten. The best chances for rain will come after 4 p.m. Sunday and continue into Tuesday and Wednesday. A band of moderate rain is expected from eastern Texas to southern Missouri with lighter rain farther north Saturday.
