Bindi Irwin Wins Dancing With the Stars US
We’re speaking mostly based on his resume here, which really can not be overlooked.
The young star and her pro dance partner, Derek Hough, received the Mirrorball Trophy on Tuesday night during a two-hour finale. Irwin told Us Magazine when the showed ended.
So where does Bindi go from here? She’s easily among the most impressive winners in the DWTS history books, especially considering she isn’t a professional athlete and didn’t have a ton (if any) dancing experience going into the contest. It’s a career that suits her well.
“Dancing with the Stars” aired its first season in 2005. “This has been the craziest ride of my life, and I’ve just had so much fun”, said Skarlatos.
The final moments of the dance, to Leona Lewis’ Footprints In The Sane, saw Bindi and Derek walk across the floor which had an image of sand projected onto it. She and partner Tony Dovolani performed a section of their “I Dream of Jeannie” dance.
“Thank you so much for everything”, an excited Irwin said as cast members lifted her on their shoulders.
Bindi kept her composure all throughout the night until Hough showed a picture of her and her dad on the screen that made her break down in tears.
Bindi Irwin appeared on Good Morning America today to talk about her Dancing With the Stars victory. Her positive attitude is what won the hearts of those who got to know her on the season, including (but certainly not limited to) Derek Hough, judge Bruno Tonioli, and host Tom Bergeron. “I feel really blessed”.
But never mind Disneyland, the 17-year-old Aussie can’t wait to go back to hanging out with snakes and rhinos at the Australia Zoo.
Rumor also has it that Sharna Burgess, who has quickly become a fan – but maybe not the judge’s – favorite won’t be returning after her second place finish with Nick Carter.
