Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines

Center Wendy Laurent is coming off probably one of the worst games he’s played this season and while Penn State can continue to use Andrew Nelson at left tackle for Palmer the void at right tackle hasn’t been easy to fill with Brendan Mahon stepping in for Nelson. Even before Rudock was able to put the ball in the air, Chesson was getting involved in the screen game and on end-arounds; his speed makes him a great asset. If MSU’s defensive line approaches its Ohio State performance, it should be in the backfield often. Sparty’s defense allowed Sa-Sa to rack up 114 all goal yards and a TD, but it would be the only score of the day for Penn State. It just didn’t look quite that way during the beating last Saturday. The Spartans have figured out some things on that side of the ball and should match up well. If Cook can’t play, O’Connor and Damion Terry are the QBs in waiting. Look for a competitive contest that the Spartans won’t clinch until a high-pressure fourth quarter.

The 10-1 Buckeyes have had to grind to vanquish even the biggest of underdogs, the hope being they were simply playing down to the level of their competition.
