Bindi Irwin wins Dancing with the Stars with performance dedicated to father
Last night, Australian animal conservationist Bindi Irwin and her partner, Derek Hough, won big on the dance floor, taking home the Mirrorball Trophy on Season 21 of Dancing With the Stars.
The pair got a flawless score of 30 for their final dance routine and brought audience members to tears. She dedicated the dance to her late father, Steve Irwin, who died at age 44 in 2006 after a stingray attack.

Week after week Bindi has surpassed the expectations of both the judges and the audiences with her innovative and well-executed performances. “I can’t believe that I’m here”, said Irwin.
Ahead of the show, Ms Irwin tweeted the last photo of her with her mum and dad before his death.
After she performed several dance routines with her ballroom dance partner Derek Hough during Tuesday’s two-hour finale, she was eventually crowned the champion.
By the way, this is Hough’s sixth Mirror Ball.
Meanwhile, Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess were delcared the first runner-up, while Alek and Lindsay were the second runner-up.
“It truly has changed my life”, she told the hosts.
A young Bindi Irwin touched the hearts of Aussies everywhere when she spoke at the funeral of her father, the celebrated zoologist and TV personality, Steve Irwin.
“It’s been nine years and I’ve never really dwelled on that point when he passed away so I think that I’m ready to tell that story”, she the stunning Queensland explained.
There could only be one victor, however, and it was just announced that the victor of Dancing with the Stars Season 21 is Bindi Irwin!
Kerry Grace Benn said on the Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog that the show’s finals were competitive and she was pleased with the results.
“Thank you so much for everything”, Bindi said after she won.
Third place went to American hero Alek Skarlatos.
