Sixers rookie Jahlil Okafor knocked a guy out in Boston
An NBA spokesman said Friday the league was looking into the matter, ESPN reported.
A law enforcement source told CSNPhilly.com that a gun magazine was recovered near the scene and submitted for fingerprint analysis.
“Apparently, they said: “The 76ers suck and you guys are all losers. I saw him a minute after he knocked the dude out”, the source said”. “People are just coming after me, heckling, making fun of me for losing”. This is a good thing, particularly for a franchise like the Sixers, who suck – with a 0-16 record after a loss to the Boston Celtics.
As Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor deals with questions about one alleged nightclub incident, it is reportedly not the first time the first-round pick has been part of a violent altercation in the past few months. Okafor allegedly threw punches at and pushed a man.
The Sixers said Thursday night that they were investigating the incident and seeking details.
After the incident in a Boston night club, Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor is quick to realize his mistake and immediately apologized for his actions.
“The embarrassment of what I did because that’s not who I am”, Okafor added. “But I’m not happy about it at all”. Eventually, however, the victim states that Okafor broke free and began pushing and punching him. Regardless of what does happen, Okafor’s multiple run-ins since arriving in Philadelphia are a troubling development. “I’ll never handle it like [he did Thursday morning] again”. He stated that Jahlil Okafor has lost more games in the first month of his National Basketball Association career than he has in his entire life prior.
“We are aware of the report and we are now working to gather additional information”, it said.
“We ask them to make responsible decisions”.
“You guys know how much of a disappointment it would have been”, Crowder said.
On a related side note, head coach Brett Brown practically scoffed at the notion of a curfew for the team. I feel like we’re going to get it done.
The 76ers are now 0-16 for the season, and combined with 10 straight losses previous year now have a share of the record for the worst string of defeats in history.
