Tyrod, Dareus in; Mario and Kyle Williams out
Buffalo Bills defensive end Kyle Williams (95) moves against Cincinnati Bengals tackle Jake Fisher (74) during the second half of an NFL football game on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, in Orchard Park, N.Y.
The Bills are already missing defensive tackle Kyle Williams (knee) on the defensive line, and Marcell Dareus has been limited this week with a knee injury, as well. The 10-year veteran described his knee injury as a “meniscal issue” that never reached a point to where he could return.
“It’s been tough”, Williams said, via the team.
The 32-year-old Williams is a four-time Pro Bowler. He said Friday that he plans to be back in the Bills lineup next year and that will likely be the case as long as his rehab progresses smoothly in the coming months. “So we chose to try to power through it and come back and play because I felt like we had a good team that had an opportunity to go to the playoffs and do some good things. I would’ve just leaned on the guys over there on defense to help me with the calls and assignments”. Said Williams, “I don’t feel you can just snatch the rug out from under them on that”. “I think the thing that’s not measured is what you have in [your heart] and in [your head], and I’ve got plenty of that left to give”. It’s just kind of the price of doing business sometimes. “It’s the nature of this league where you’ve got some guys who can come back and play and that’s what my plan is”.
Bills QB Tyrod Taylor participated in practice Wednesday on the heels of his shoulder injury suffered Monday night.
Backup receiver Marcus Easley (concussion) and starting right guard John Miller (high left ankle sprain) aren’t expected to play.
