VACATION Writers In Talks To Pen The Script For SPIDER-MAN Reboot
The 40-year-old director said he is prepared that Spider-Man is going back to Marvel Universe, reported MTV.
Deadline broke the news. Both Daley and Goldstein were among the original shortlist of names being considered for directing duties on the new Marvel Studios / Sony joint venture film. Watts won that battle, but now the duo get to be involved in another capacity.
Marisa Tomei has been recently rumored to portray Peter Parker’s doting Aunt May but no official announcement has been made on the matter.
The duo, whose writing credits include disgusting Bosses, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, are making their directing debut this year with the comedy reboot/sequel Vacation.
Reports say that Marvel and Sony have found their writers for the upcoming reboot of Spider-Man.
Holland will making his first appearance as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016. Not just characters or villains or supporting characters, but sides to his character. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more. He will be reportedly shown in high school.
It will be interesting to see how Daley and Goldstein put their spin on the new Spider-Man film, which will star Tom Holland in the title role. In the upcoming movie, he has already been bitten by the radioactive spider so his origin story won’t be addressed again.
