Xiaomi Launches Li Ning Smart Shoes To Bolster Its Connected Devices Lineup
All Li-Ning Smart Shoes come with a military grade motion sensor, as well as a Bluetooth chip inside the midsole. By launching a bevy of products across categories, Xiaomi wants to rapidly expand its product portfolio, and to do that, it has been rightly tapping into the connected devices segment. The shoes will register your walks and runs using motion and pressure sensors.
Xiaomi’s smart trainers, designed by Sportswear brand Li Ning, will soon be available boasting a £20 price tag but will only be in China for now.
The so-called “smart” shoes can track data to show the distance covered, number of steps taken, calories burnt and other health-related information.
XIaomi will be taking on the Nike and Adidas brands of fitness shoes with this move.
The smart shoes are intended to appeal to fitness lovers as they carry Xiaomi manufactured sensors fabricated to their soul and hold the ability to track all of your workout activities.
Although, the shoes were built in partnership with Xiaomi, but it is called as the Li-Ning Smart Shoes. It connects to the phone via Bluetooth.
This represents Xiaomi’s second foray into wearables after it launched its Michigan band fitness tracker late a year ago. Li-Ning is one of the more famous shoemakers from China, which also endorses quite a few athletes and teams.
