Black Friday shoppers hit the stores in Maine

Shopper Karen Ortega said she knows exactly what she will be purchasing.

“I was just minding my own business and then someone came up behind me with brass knuckles and hit me in the back of the head”, the teen said.

However, the Black Friday shopping experience tends to lead to chaos and fights in different stores across the country.

Elsewhere in Kentucky, in Louisville, a fist-fight broke out between two unidentified men at the Mall St. Matthews on Thanksgiving night as a crowd looked on. But to see what police said was the real danger, you have to watch what was happening around the fight, as people started to yell, and the crowd started to panic. In in Alexandria, Louisiana, a shooter wounded a person, although the attack probably had nothing to do with shoppers hunting for deals. Early bird and uniquely-timed holiday deals are capturing the attention of both those looking for gifts and non-gifts.

Some retailers opened early in morning Thursday, and several more began letting customers in the afternoon.
