Black Friday shoppers hit the stores in Maine
Shopper Karen Ortega said she knows exactly what she will be purchasing.
“I was just minding my own business and then someone came up behind me with brass knuckles and hit me in the back of the head”, the teen said.

In in Alexandria, Louisiana, a shooter wounded a person, although the attack probably had nothing to do with shoppers hunting for deals. Early bird and uniquely-timed holiday deals are capturing the attention of both those looking for gifts and non-gifts.
Some retailers opened early in morning Thursday, and several more began letting customers in the afternoon.
