Small Business Saturday is growing

Downtown officials said it was the first year for small businesses in Sylvester to participate in Small Business Saturday.
“I just gives an opportunity for more businesses to come here if we support locally”, Dowson said.
Some of the customers in her shop agreed that small businesses are key to the fabric of a community and deserve as much support as possible.
“Anytime you can find what you need at a locally-owned mom and pop store, we really encourage people to do that”, Hudson said. “It’s small businesses, it’s family businesses, it’s what has been here before Savannah was cool”, says 24e owner Ruel Joyner.

With years of experience, Perkins says the best way to be a successful small business owner is to talk to people along with utilizing the resources around you. “We don’t have a location anywhere else so this is unique to Chattanooga so I think it adds character”.
