Louis Van Gaal anxious about fans
Vardy could take his goalscoring run to 11 successive Premier League matches, surpassing former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of 10.
United are in desperate need to reinforce their attack following a host of drab performances and manager Louis van Gaal was said to have identified Vardy as a target. He scores, he provoked a penalty and now he is scoring in a row ten goals so now you are a great player.
“I only know, for example, Dennis Bergkamp as a player with me did the same with Ajax and that is not so easy”.
In last six matches in Premier League since 2001., United won 5 matches, while Leicester won once in 2014.
It is notable, too, that Leicester have only lost against Arsenal in the league this season and their 0-3 win at Newcastle last weekend was Claudio Ranieri’s side’s fourth on the spin in the Premier League.
“I cannot say that also because these kind of injuries you cannot predict. I don’t think it is weeks, but I think within two weeks one of the two can come back”.
Not a ringing endorsement – but there’s a chance!
Captain Vincent Kompany has been badly missed and faces another fortnight out with a calf problem, while David Silva and Samir Nasri are also sidelined and goalkeeper Joe Hart was injured in the midweek Champions League loss at Juventus.
“The fans can demand entertaining football and I think they should keep demanding it”.
Van Gaal also opened up about his decision to let teen striker James Wilson to go out on loan to Brighton and Howe Albion despite a dearth of strikers at his disposal.
“United knew what they were getting when they employed Louis van Gaal, so there can be no complaints now”, Ferdinand said. The fans have to be happy, you are playing for the fans but you have to see how our opponents are playing against us.
But van Gaal insists he will continue to promote the Red Devils’ production line, with continued guidance from his backroom team.
Sporting Index have a number of special markets around Vardy’s quest to score in a record-breaking 11th league game. We believe in him so he has to develop himself elsewhere. Our goal, at the moment, is this: “let me see the next two months and then maybe I change the goal, but at this moment I am very, very focused on our goal”.
“Slowly, slowly they are getting better, building, he’ll get it right”.
The Spaniard received many plaudits for his outstanding form last season although there is no doubting this time around United’s defensive meanness is based around a collective effort.
Defensively, Leicester aren’t strong.
