Jack Grealish filmed enjoying boozy night out after 4-0
Yesterday’s loss leaves Villa rooted to the bottom of the table with just five points – matching the lowest haul after 14 Premier League matches. That’s my honest assessment of it.
Clark and Scott Sinclair – in for the banished Jack Grealish after his boozy night out in Manchester – also missed chances.
New Aston Villa manager Remi Garde is prepared to spend money in the January transfer window in an attempt to turn his side’s awful season around, as per talkSPORT.
They’ve shown that they’re capable of picking up impressive away points, having beaten both Newcastle United and Stoke City on their travels this time around, meaning that Villa are by no means favourites to win, especially if Odion Ighalo is on form.
Grealish has been axed from the Villa first-team squad and banished to the Under-21s by boss Remi Garde after being pictured partying with friends just hours after the 4-0 defeat at Everton last Saturday.
Villa could only look at themselves as they fell behind, failing to clear after Brad Guzan denied Ighalo, allowing the Nigeria striker to tuck in his eighth goal of the season.
“You can say it’s a crisis, you can say we’re in trouble”. And, if we don’t get it right, we’re going to go down.
Garde’s predecessor, Tim Sherwood, warned Grealish about his behaviour after the Tenerife incident telling him that he had to “knuckle down”, while Garde had already said he felt the winger was not playing at the level he should be. They bossed it from start to finish.
This is an important game for us: the Magpies are three places and five points above us and a win against them could be monumental. We were nervous on the ball.
As a side that rarely looks likely to score at present, they will not be best pleased to see Watford on the other side of the halfway line, as the newly promoted side have become a hard team to play against and are compact at the back. In all the rest we could have nicked a draw or even got a win.
