Over the last two days, Khan’s remarks spiralled into a huge controversy, drawing everyone from Bollywood personalities to political parties and social media users in the fray.
Aamir yesterday asserted that he stood by his comments and made it clear that neither he nor his wife Kiran Rao have any intention of leaving the country.
Ullhas told IANS, “We have certain fundamental duties… which says that we should maintain harmony in the nation”.
In the press statement, reprinted verbatim by several publications, Khan has firmly stated that neither he nor his wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao, “have any intention of leaving the country”.
Aamir Khan surely had a hard time recently after commenting about India being intolerant. “She fears for her child, she fears about what the atmosphere”.
The BJP leader’s statements came a day after actor Aamir Khan faced severe criticisms from all quarters over his “quit India” comment and his stance on the rising intolerance in the country. Anyone implying the opposite has neither watched my interview nor trying to distort to what I said.
“I had gone through something similar a couple of months ago”, Rahman said, speaking at a film festival.

However, the BJP on Wednesday sharpened its attack on the actor, charging him with committing the “moral offence” of blaming the “entire country for his own sake”.
The voices protesting Aamir Khan’s comments are growing louder.
Aamir said “Being an Indian citizen, i feel really bad to open Newspaper every morning and i feel afraid of coming across bad news”. There is more tolerance in India.
“We won’t let Aamir leave the country, he is safe”.
