5 events to enjoy this holiday season

Kids are invited to meet Santa and his reindeer after the parade at the Perry Hotel. “Just pull up (before 6 p.m.) and say you want to be in it. The more, the merrier”.
In a statement on the mall’s Facebook page a spokesperson apologized and wrote, “We heard the disappointment in your shopper feedback regarding the cancellation of the annual Santa Parade”. Then the parade will proceed past the park to Selkirk Avenue, where it will turn west (right), ending near 223rd.
Magical snowfall will continue every Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. throughout the holiday season. Completed forms, along with the $10 entry fee, should be sent to: Cabot Christmas Parade P.O. Box 1101 Cabot, AR 72023. It is open to any group or organization that would like to have a float or participate in some way.

This year’s theme is “Clowning Around Christmas – Let’s Have Fun”.
The morning of Christmas Eve the area surrounding the beach at the end of Minuteman Causeway will be transformed into a tropical version of the North Pole as surfing Santas and spectators fill the beach by the thousands to take part in this Cocoa Beach tradition. An ice carving contest will be held in the Courthouse Plaza and people can assist in decorating street lights throughout Downtown. The parade will also be accompanied by the music courtesy of the Cadet band. Therefore, in the spirit of giving, spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable food or financial donations with them.
