Game of Thrones’ The Mountain Breaks His Own World Record

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, aka The Mountain in Game of Thrones, is almost 400 pounds of muscle. On Saturday, Bjornsson showed just how beastly a strongman he is when he tossed a 33-pound beer keg over 23 feet in the air, breaking his own record at the World’s Strongest Man Qualifying Tour event at the Giants Live Sweden in the process. He is now the reigning Strongest Man in Europe and recently broke the world record for highest keg toss.

“It was easy! I could have broken the roof”, the three-time World’s Strongest finalist told Uproxx.

The Thrones actor made headlines earlier this year when he broke a 1,000 year-old weightlifting record by taking five steps while carrying a 1,433lb (650kg) log, a feat which won him the well-earned title of World’s Strongest Viking. The character is known for extreme brutality owing to his fearsome size and strength.
