West Ham performance Spurs’ best this season, says in-form Kane

It could easily have already been more.

But the 43-year-old says his team can still improve. While, Tottenham hosts the defending champions Chelsea.

“I thought we could come back in the second half because we created some good stuff but after the third goal, it just killed the game and to be fair after that it was all them”.

And yet, this has been a Premier League season so far defined by the success of counter-attacking sides, with Leicester topping the table after 13 games, West Ham enjoying their best ever start and Crystal Palace continuing to flourish under Alan Pardew.

He is one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

“I probably got a bit excited”. If you ask any Spurs player, that’s what they’d tell you.

“We have a young squad, we need to develop our way to be consistent”.

Pochettino has Spurs moulded in his own image.

“It was a high level of performance”.

“I think we are very proud of the players, a lot of things we can take from today”.

“We knew we would miss Payet and we will be without him for a long time but we didn’t lose 4-1 because he wasn’t playing”, added the Croat.

“I never have doubts about Harry Kane”, he said.
