Adele’s ’25’ album sales smashes record
25 is also the 20th album in history to sell over one million copies, according to Hollywood Reporter, and the sole album to sell over one million copies in 2015.
Even though it was released in November, Adele’s 25 has become the year’s biggest-selling album in the US. Adele’s new studio installment also easily breaks the best sales week record NSYNC has held for 15 years since their “No Strings Attached” arrived with 2.4 million copies back in 2000.
Because Adele’s album is purely in CD only since the 11 songs are not available on streaming platforms, she just proved that people still buy albums for worthy projects such as “25”.

According to Stuff Adele records sales smashes New Zealand’s record with it debuting at 18,000 records for the first week.
David Bakula, senior vice president of insights at Nielsen Music, commented on how impressive Adele’s records sales are for its time. “You can’t overstate how important and incredible a feat it is that this record is getting to the level that it is”.
The Oscar-winning Skyfall singer’s record has sold 800,307 copies in the first week of its release – surpassing Oasis’s Be Here Now, which sold 696,000 units in its debut chart week in August 1997.
