Pennsylvania police officer shot dead after responding to domestic dispute
Shetler was found after a six-hour manhunt while he was walking near a power plant outside of New Florence at 3 a.m. New Florence is located 56 miles east of Pittsburgh, USA Today reported.
A police officer was shot after responding to a domestic incident in Westmoreland County. The Seward officer told state police he fired once at Mr. Shetler as he took off running.
State police say the 54-year-old officer shot at Shetler when he wouldn’t drop a hunting rifle.
Reed worked at the St. Clair department – which employs all part-time officers – for about five years.
“They were very minor, minor injuries that were caused by Mr. Shetler”, Limani said. He was pronounced dead of his wounds about midnight at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.

She later told reporters she believed Shetler took the gun because he planned to deer hunt on Monday, when the state’s firearms season opened.
Police are asking residents to secure their homes. Police had advised residents in New Florence to lock the doors and windows of their homes and vehicles.
“I heard his girlfriend saying, ‘breathe, ‘” Kenley, 46, said. The Cambria County coroner’s office said he died of a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest.
