Raspberry Pi shrinks to $5 Pi Zero
While affordable, the team at the Raspberry Pi Foundation said that they still heard from people that couldn’t afford the previous units and since the organization has an educational mission to give as many people as possible the experience of programming a computer, they set out to make an even cheaper version.
Raspberry Pi head of communications Liz Upton told CNNMoney, “We were amazed at the rush on stores that happened as soon as we announced the release”. “Of all the things we do at Raspberry Pi”, writes Raspberry Pi founder Eben Upton, “driving down the cost of computer hardware remains one of the most important”.

Raspberry Pi has managed to raise the bar as far as low-priced computing is concerned yet again.
Seriously – we wanted a photo-chop of Homer Simpson drooling over the Raspberry Pi Zero for this report.
The computer also comes with a USB data port and sockets for power, video, and a Wi-Fi dongle.
The foundation became famous in 2011 when it launched the Raspberry Pi, a tiny single-board computer with an ARM processor.
Supplies are also running low of the official MagPi magazine that includes a Pi Zero on the front cover of the most recent issue. The developers stated that the processor could run at even higher frequency if it is upcloaked.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a company that takes great pride in its endeavor to help people interested in robotics and computer get a head start. A mini HDMI socket is also present and it allows the computer to project full HD video onto a TV screen. UK People can get one via element14, Pimoroni or The Pi Hut.
While many of you were supposed to be eating turkey on Thursday, you were instead geeking out over Raspberry PI’s newest computer, the Zero: a pint-sized module that costs just $5.
“We advise you not to buy from scalpers on eBay, because… karma”, she added.
Unless you’re really strapped for cash or need the form-factor stripped down to the absolute bare minimum, the Raspberry Pi 2 B remains the more capable – if slightly more expensive – option.
