The Arkham Origins developer is working on two new DC Comics games
Interactive would be interesting in making more video games set in the DC Comics universe.
However, that doesn’t mean Warner Bros is done developing games based on DC Comics characters, as it looks like WB Montreal, the team behind Arkham Origins, is now working on two unannounced DC games. Maybe that has something to do with the movie coming up next year?
Rocksteady officially wrapped up its time with Batman earlier this year with the release of Arkham Knight. Another Batman game? Superman? There seem to be 11 open positions, but WB could be hiring for several of each title.
However, the two games might not be Batman games at all. Arkham Origins was seen as many as the weakest game in the franchise.
Rumours have run rampant over what Warner Bros. I’m mostly drawn to single player, story driven games and couch co-op, but will occasionally delve into multiplayer. With so many films in the works for the DC cinematic universe, including a Justice League and Suicide Squad film, the chance to capitalize on box office success may be an opportunity too good for the gaming side of Warner Bros.to pass up. Perhaps with the added power of this current crop of consoles, WB Montreal finally has the raw specs needed to bring the Justice League to life faithfully.
The question is, what games are they going to make? Just be sure to give us a hint or two when you get the job since we so kindly nudged you in their direction.
