OnePlus 2 CyanogenMod ROM to be Available Soon
An official CyanogenMod ROM is in development for the OnePlus 2, giving owners another alternative to the stock OxygenOS software.
OnePlus 2 users will soon be able to install a custom CyanogenMod ROM on their devices.
After the mishap, OnePlus made a decision to use its proprietary Oxygen OS, yet a number of courageous developers kept working on porting CyanogenMod to newer OnePlus devices.
With every new release of a new version of Android comes the waiting game, at least for most devices. It has some extra features, but plenty of bugs. All you need to do is root your phone and the latest custom recovery, but this might compromise your device’s warranty status.
CyanogenMod has a huge community of developers and supporters.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be released for the Galaxy E7 (SM-E700H model) in 2016, but we’re not sure yet when exactly this will happen, hopefully, Samsung will come with more details about this before the Christmas holidays.
Although the builds have been spotted, users can not download them yet. There will be two versions of CyanogenMod ROM for the OnePlus 2, one based on Android 5.1.1 (CyanogenMod 12.2) and the other based on Android 6.0 (13). The Android Marshmallow 6.0 update for Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 9 can be availed through the following links. Here’s the link to the Github page where the ROM is being worked on. However, you can update your existing CM12.1 nightly device with a CM13 nightly build if you are really willing to accept an inferior experience.
