Paul Walker’s younger brother Cody to step into Hollywood role
After lending a hand on Fast & Furious 7, Paul Walker’s youngest brother Cody is starting his own acting career.
Cage is playing the role of Capt. Charles Butler McVay, whose ship was torpedoed in the South Pacific in July 1945, after delivering parts for the first atomic bombs.
WESTWOOD, CA – NOVEMBER 19: (L to R) Cody Walker with his brother actor Paul Walker pose during the film premiere of “Timeline” at the Mann’s National Theatre on November 19, 2003 in Westwood, California.
Directed by Mario Van Peebles, the film – which is in production – will recount the infamous sinking of the USS Indianapolis in the closing days of World War II. A third Walker brother, Caleb, also served as a stand-in for various unfinished scenes.
Cody will now be taking a supporting role, alongside Nicolas Cage, in WW2 film USS Indianapolis, Deadline reports.
After debuting in “Furious 7”, his co-stars supported Cody if he chose to continue acting in the future. Producers are Rionda Del Castro and Michael Mendelsohn of Patriot Pictures, who are also financing “Men of Courage” with Hannibal Classics. The rest struggled to survive as they were left exposed, dehydrated and facing shark attacks while waiting for help to arrive.
Cody is set to play one of the soldiers fighting for survival. In one photo, Cody is seen standing alongside some of his co-stars, which included Patrice Cols, Johnny Wactor and Craig Tate.
“To be honest, I’m a little nervous to see the completed project from an emotional standpoint”. And, yes, he looks a lot like Paul now that he’s 27.
