Kobe Bryant to retire at end of season
“He’s a legend and all I hear about is how bad he’s playing, how bad he’s shooting, it’s time for him to hang it up”, stated Durant.
Bryant, limited by injuries to six games two seasons ago and 35 last season, announced on Sunday “this season is all I have left to give”.
“Hopefully now you can start being nice to him now that he made a decision to retire after this year. It was sad the way he was getting treated”.
Despite his complicated relationship with Philly, his final game in the city of brotherly love has garnered plenty of excitement, especially from the young Sixers, composed of many players who grew up watching him play. Even though we play different sports you’re 1 one of my idols! Just a brilliant, brilliant, intelligent man. Sad to seem him go. As a piece of advice, Jordan said to simply enjoy it up to the last game per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News.
Following the announcement, his celebrity friends and fans took to Twitter.com to show their support for Bryant and praise his career achievements. The five-time National Basketball Association champion has been struggling with moves he used to excel at.
As well as holding an 81-point performance – second highest points scored in a single National Basketball Association game – behind Wilt Chamberlain, Bryant entered the National Basketball Association history as the NBA’s all-time scoring list, behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.
“I join Kobe’s millions of fans around the world in congratulating him on an outstanding National Basketball Association career and thank him for so many thrilling memories”. “It was all fact to me”.
The writing has been on the wall for Kobe, who’s career has been much longer than Jordan’s. “Lately it’s been like a Kobe bashing, and that’s not cool”. The Lakers, Brown said, were one of the teams he was in charge of scouting for the Spurs so he had an intimate look at Bryant’s game over the years.
“When you think of Kobe, you think of greatness”, Malone said.
Taj Gibson played his college ball at USC and got to know Kobe Bryant behind the scenes.
