Motorola Moto 360 (2015 edition) launched in India; starting at Rs 19999
Lenovo-owned company Motorola Mobility on Tuesday launched the Moto 360 (2015) smartwatch in India.
Motorola Moto 360 (2015 edition) is now out in India and will come in 5 variants, starting at a price of Rs 19,999. The Moto 360 is built out of aircraft-grade 316L stainless steel, with Corning Gorilla Glass protecting the screen from scratches.
Powered by Android Wear, the new Moto 360 gives you complete control right from your wrist so you can stay in the moment, without constantly grabbing your phone from your pocket or purse. The crown button has been pushed slightly towards a 2 o’clock angle and watchband lugs are now on the outside of the case. The new watch tracks your heart rate and the calories you burn.
Unlike its predecessor, the Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) comes in two different size variants. There’s also a 42mm variant with thinner 16mm bands designed exclusively for women.
The device comes in tow models, a 42mm version which has a 1.37 inch display with a resolution of 360 x 325 pixels and a 46mm version which has a 1.56 inch display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels.
Another major change is that the Moto 360 (2015) has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and a Adreno 305 450MHz GPU.
Connectivity options include: Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. The Moto 360 (2nd Gen) also features an optical heart rate monitor and IP67 certification that makes it resistant to dust and water. Basic functionality involve accessing quick notifications and health and fitness tracking. The 46mm variant features a 400mAh battery that is said to offer up to two days of mixed use with Ambient display off, and a full day of mixed use with Ambient display on. Last but not least is the Moto X, which is also a great smartphone and has better specs than the Moto G, but is offered at a much higher price.
