Miami Dolphins Fire Offensive Coordinator

The moves came after the Dolphins lost, 38-20, to the Jets on Sunday.

The Jets special teams were on their game once again, starting with kicker Randy Bullock who was flawless on the afternoon with 8 points scored on five extra points and a 41-yard field goal.

That’s a season the Miami faithful won’t soon forget as team lost its first 13 games and finished 1-15 that year.

Current Dolphins quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor will be taking over playcalling duties under Campbell while the organization searches for a new coordinator. He’s a former Nebraska quarterback and the son-in-law of Mike Sherman, who coincidentally was sacked as the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator two years ago and replaced by Lazor.

Campbell certainly isn’t the first to point out the lack of balance on offense for the Dolphins, but, then, you’d have to be blind not to pick it up. Taylor will inherit an offense that is second to last in third-down conversion percentage and last in rushing attempts.

Revis missed the Jets’ win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday with a concussion, so it is unclear if he will be able to play against Beckham and the Giants.

While the Jets try to string together a few wins to stay in the playoff hunt, the snap count between Davis and Henderson is worth keeping an eye on as it could play a role in shaping the position moving forward.
