Supergirl makes it in time but when the Red Tornado unleashes a twister on the highway, she’s forced to take it out while the android flies away.
In a surprising twist, Kara cuts her hand on a piece of glass at the end of the episode. Cat tells Kara that she needs to control her anger while at work and that she needs to find a release for it. “You weren’t really mad at me”, she insists. Alex follows the signal to Dr. Morrow who reveals he’s controlling the Red Tornado telepathically and that to stop the android, she’ll have to kill him. Join Kaori Takee, Clarke Wolfe, Britta Garsow and John Rocha for an expanded analysis of CBS’s hit series Supergirl! Alex does, however, learn a little more about her father. In a fancy restaurant, Jimmy and General Lane butt heads about his relationship with not only Superman and Supergirl, but also Lucy, citing that he’s not good enough for her. We then see where Kara and Cat ran off to Noonan’s, for Happy Hour. Realizing what she’s done, however, Kara is mortified, but Cat tells her to grab her things because they’re going. Kara tracks down Dr. Morrow but ultimately has to shoot and kill him when he refuses to give up his control over the robot thanks to mental implants in his head that allow him to communicate with the android telepathically.
Supergirl also stars Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, and Dean Cain and Helen Slater as Kara’s earthly foster parents.
Day is saved, General Lane looks like an asshole and everybody wins. He still doesn’t of course. Kara does what we’ve been waiting for her to do for six episodes and snaps back. Alex and Kara are now determined to find out the truth behind Jeremiah’s death. A month later, Jeremiah’s partner returned unscathed with no memory of what happened. Let’s just wait and see!
