Cruz: Trump Will Not Be Nominee

Conservatives may bristle at the comparison, but Pfeiffer probably sees similarities between the Cruz operation and the campaign of another first-term senator who sought to topple a political dynasty on the way to the White House. Rubio still seems like the most likely victor of the GOP contest. Cruz now believes those lanes are “collapsing” into a single superhighway – a “conservative lane”.

So what should we make of the political attacks? North Alabama congressman and tea party favorite Mo Brooks (R-AL5) is chairing the campaign.

Voters who met Cruz over the weekend appreciated the effort. “His insistence that condoms are a substitute for the contraception many women need to prevent unintended pregnancies, and for other health reasons, shows he hasn’t got a clue when it comes to women’s health”.

Rubio campaign spokesman Alex Conant responded by hitting Cruz’s position on support of the USA Freedom Act, which stopped the government from engaging in mass collection of Americans’ phone records surveillance and privacy.

Cruz is one of the only opponents Trump hasn’t attacked during his candidacy. The summit brought Republican presidential candidates in front of the Republican voters. In 2012, outspoken social conservative Rick Santorum won with 35 percent of the vote.

Cruz, in an interview, disputed Rubio’s criticism.

Trump is a fan of Cruz, even indicating he might ask the senator from Texas to be his running mate if he wins in the primaries, but Cruz isn’t interested. Rubio is third and Cruz fourth.

Cruz wouldn’t have it any either way. But it will be a tough fight, and a motivated group of passionate Cruz activists could have a shot at being the difference on election day.
