Bloodborne Emergency Maintenance Takes Down Servers for Days
Many of you are still complaining about Bloodborne servers being down for maintenance on December 1 or December 2 depending on where you live.
Players found themselves unable to play online with friends, which is an even bigger bummer considering the game’s expansion, “The Old Hunters”, just released last week.
The developers recently explained that Bloodborne was down for ’emergency maintenance’ and now we can confirm that a new Bloodborne 1.08 update has now gone live.
He declined to specify further as to what that exploit was, but Kotaku reports that a since-deleted thread on the Bloodborne subreddit detailed a way toobtain The Old Hunters for free.
The bad news is that this maintenance will take “a few days” and they didn’t offer any details.
Lead hosting engineer Tim Wernicke said on Reddit that an “exploit and serious issues” have been identified, which is why Sony is taking down the game’s servers for a brief while. The game is now undergoing emergency maintenance, and we’re working non-stop to get some things patched and back online. Furthermore, if that is indeed the case, then From Software’s initial announcement of the online modes being defunct for “a few days” could very well be a conservative estimate, as fans might have to wait even longer for the features to return.
Leo got his butt kicked by “The Old Hunters” here.
From Software isn’t saying exactly why the servers are going down, though it may be to fix serious exploits within the game.
