Virginia homicides captured in Virginia
West Virginia State Police say he is a person of interest in a double homicide that took place in Marlinton, West Virginia. Baylous says Bussard will be charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of grand larceny once he is extradited to Pocahontas County.
Authorities are searching for a man accused of killing two people in Marlinton, West Virginia. State Police Lt. Michael Baylous said McDaniels received the West Virginia State Police’s version of the Purple Heart after he was shot in the shoulder while responding to a domestic call. During the investigation, it was determined that a 2007 black Honda Pilot with West Virginia registration LE09, belonging to the victims was missing.
Baylous says Aaron J. Bussard is a person of interest in the homicides and is considered armed and risky.
Anyone with information concerning Bussard’s whereabouts is requested to contact State Police.
The department said on its Facebook page that the 22-year-old is in the custody of the Allegheny Sheriff’s Department in Virginia.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
