HPE and Microsoft partner on hybrid cloud platform
A separate announcement showed that HPE and Microsoft plans to deliver integrated hybrid IT infrastructure.
This means customers can run their business-critical applications in their own datacenters while simultaneously utilizing the cloud for added speed and agility, according to Antonio Neri, executive vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Group at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
The alliance would see HPE emerge as the favored partner in providing infrastructure and services for Micrsoft’s hybrid cloud offerings while Microsoft is expected come forward as a preferred cloud platform for HPE’s clientele.
The move brings to a decidedly happy close HP’s dalliance into the world of public cloud services. HPE also said the collaboration would help boost its new datacenter architecture known as “composable infrastructure”.
“Through this complex process of separating Hewlett Packard we got really good at this kind of work, at a scale that most companies would never even attempt”, Whitman told the HPE Discover conference in London. It’s not surprising that HPE isn’t forging an exclusive partnership with Microsoft, or anyone else for that matter. Brean Capital restated a “buy” rating and issued a $45.00 price objective on shares of Hewlett-Packard Company in a report on Saturday, August 22nd. HPE will serve as a preferred provider of Microsoft infrastructure and services for its hybrid cloud offerings. As a participant in Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider program, HPE will sell Microsoft cloud solutions across Azure, the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite and Office 365.
We’ve also learned that Hewlett Packard Company will report its next earnings on February 23, 2016. It provides both platform…
HPE and Microsoft are introducing a hyper-converged system with true hybrid cloud capabilities, the HPE Hyper-Converged 250 for Microsoft Cloud Platform System Standard. The target users are IT departments who need to streamline the deployment as well as developers writing applications for the two operating systems.
Organizations today have more opportunities than ever before to quickly deliver new applications and services, embrace new business models and enter new markets. “This software-defined solution can be up and running in a matter of hours, and allows you to start small and scale as your business grows”. Quite how HPE will manage this without creating a new range of servers is unclear. They also unveiled a new jointly developed platform. Dell already sells machines having pre-installed Microsoft’s Azure software. Hewlett-Packard Company’s quarterly revenue was down 9.5% compared to the same quarter previous year. In addition, he writes the Channeling the Cloud column for Redmond Channel Partner. The Company’s portfolio includes enterprise services, software and financial services businesses.
There’s just one problem: HPE doesn’t really appear to be getting any special treatment with this deal. But it will take some time before those efforts pay off.
With the proliferation of easy to access cloud apps, solutions provisioned without IT approval can pose a huge threat to a company’s security. All they want to know is the cost and availability.
