Amendola Questionable, Collins Doubtful For Patriots Vs. Broncos
The following players are inactive for Sunday’s game in Denver against the Broncos: wide receiver Julian Edelman, cornerback Justin Coleman, linebacker Jamie Collins, tight end Michael Williams, wide receiver Danny Amendola, safety Jordan Richards and defensive lineman Trey Flowers. While it was reported that he had recovered from that illness last week, Collins did not hit the practice field for the Patriots until Friday. Amendola, who suffered the injury in the third quarter of New England’s victory Monday over the Buffalo Bills, did not travel with the Patriots to Denver on Saturday, according to reports.
New England will likely feature more two tight end sets featuring Rob Gronkowski and Scott Chandler. Martin is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.
Amendola will miss the game due to a knee injury. He had been listed as doubtful on the team’s injury report this week. So, depending on how his knee does during the final test, we will either see him or not as he won’t travel with the team if his knee is bothering him.
Amendola’s absence will leave the Patriots without three of their top four wide receivers.
The Patriots are left with receivers Brandon LaFell, Keshawn Martin, and Chris Harper.
